Our Team
Meet the heart of Shema Culture. These people have dedicated themselves to the mission of the Shema; and to love the Lord their God with all their hearts, souls and strength no matter what it costs. There are three teams that keep the ministry of Shema Culture functioning: the Heart Team, the Soul Team, and the Strength Team.
The HEART TEAM is the like the beating heart of Shema Culture, and consists of those who are on the Board of Directors and the initial team that created the ministry of Shema. The SOUL TEAM is the like spiritual fuel to the soul of the ministry, and is made up of those who are our spiritual directors, mentors and our donors. The STRENGTH TEAM is what strengthens the ministry of Shema Culture, and consists of the volunteer musicians, prayer teams, tech crew and operational volunteers.
THE HEART TEAM
Natali Perkins
President & Co-founder of Shema Culture
Natali was born and raised Fort Wayne, Indiana and is an alumna of Purdue University of Fort Wayne (PFW). Before she received the call to start Shema Culture, she was an interior designer for a local home builder. Natali has always loved singing unto the Lord, and has been collectively involved with praise and worship for six years. She has had the honor of leading others into worship, and desires to see the church set ablaze for Jesus. She is married to Caleb Perkins, and together they enjoy traveling, discussing theology, books, movies, and spending time with family and friends.
Gloria Kohrman
Secretary & Co-founder of Shema Culture
Gloria has lived in Fort Wayne, Indiana her whole life and has been a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church for 18 years. She has been involved in leading liturgical music since she was in the 6th grade, and really enjoys the beauty and intentionality of liturgical worship. She worked as a daycare teacher for many years before the Lord called her to help start Shema Culture in March of 2022. She is an avid songwriter and has been writing her own music for nine years. Her favorite thing to do is worship the Lord and bring Him all of the glory that He is justly due.
Caleb Perkins
Vice President & Co-founder of Shema Culture
Caleb and his wife, Natali, have been married for over four years, and they live in the Fort Wayne, Indiana area. Caleb loves being on mission for the Lord with Natali, but for his day job, he works with the teens at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church as the Praise and Worship Director for the youth ministry. He teaches them how to lead worship and what it means to be a disciple for Christ. Apologetics and catechesis are his personal passions but above all, his life long dream is to instill within others a desire for nothing but Jesus.
Megan Quigley
Board Member of Shema Culture
Megan is a Fort Wayne native and an alumna of the University of Saint Francis, where she now serves as the Assistant Director of the Assisi Program for Discipleship and Leadership. She loves walking alongside college students in their walks with the Lord and encouraging them to embrace their unique missions in life. Music ministry has been an important part of Megan’s life since the fifth grade, and she is excited about Shema’s mission to inspire heart postures of praise.
Mitch Maibach
Board Member of Shema Culture
Mitch and his wife, Ashley, and two daughters, Emerson (9) and Parker (6), live in Paulding, Ohio. They are the owners of Grounded Coffee and Crumbs, among other businesses, and Mitch is on staff as the Worship Director at Kingdom Collective, a church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Along with balancing owning a business and ministry, Mitch and Ashley work together to home-school their girls. They enjoy taking vacations and spending time with friends and family.
Sister Maria Gemma
Board Member of Shema Culture
Sister Maria Gemma has been a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration since 2006. She entered the convent after realizing that the only thing that would make her happy would be to give her entire life to Jesus by becoming his bride. She currently, and gratefully, serves King Jesus through her work at the University of Saint Francis as Vice President for Catholic Culture and Student Life.
Nick Gray
Board Member of Shema Culture
Nick is a Ft. Wayne native, and has been married to his wife, Ann, for 32 years.
